SBMC mourns the loss of one of our Brothers ![]()
On Sunday, May 6th, 2012, SBMC lost one of our Brothers, Fender Bender SBMC. A great Brother, friend, boxer and Club officer, Fender Bender will be sorely missed.
He worked with his father - Catfish VNV - running high steel, installing TV and radio antennas on the highest buildings in the world...no fear in this young man.
He rode hard, loved his Brothers and was a good man. He is survived by his father, Catfish VNV, mother Linda, sister Jaclyn and girlfriend Pearl. Fender Bender SBMC's
memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 9th, 2012 from 7 until 9 pm at the DanJolell Funeral Home
in Broomall, PA. You will be missed, young man. |

SBMC Welcomes Home an American Hero ![]()
Army Specialist Adam Keys was critically injured while serving his country in Afghanistan, when the armored vehicle he was in hit an IED. The attack fatally wounded the other four soldiers who were with him, including one who had been his best friend since they were 13. Though now a triple amputee, Adam recently returned to Fort Bragg to jump with his unit, demonstrating beyond a doubt that his courage and spirit remain intact. It was only fitting, then, that members of the Second Brigade Motorcycle Club be on hand to welcome this hero home. The steady stream of over two hundred motorcycles along with cars, antique vehicles, Police Cars and Fire Apparatus, literally shut down the route from Bethlehem, PA to Clementon Park in Whitehall Township, PA for the better part of an hour. When all the pomp and circumstance was over with, and it was Adam's turn to speak, he left us with this promise: "I’m not going to let anyone down, I will never quit, I will never accept defeat". Welcome home, brother. We are truly honored to be among such individuals. Thanks to Rabbit SBMC, Ziggy SBMC and Tool Man SBMC. |

SBMC Welcomes Home SSgt Russell Glantz ![]()
The Second Brigade Motorcycle Club was on hand to welcome home Air Force National Guard SSgt Russell Glantz upon his safe return from his second deployment to Afghanistan, where he had been serving out of Bagram Air Base, under Operation Enduring Freedom. SSgt Glantz is committed to serving his country and maintaining our freedoms. He has been in the Air Force for 15 years and is currently in The National Guard Unit, Willow Grove Joint Reserve Base 111th Fighter Wing Ground as a Radio and Electronics Tech. Russell also served in Iraq in 2006 and has been awarded The Hometown Hero award (Iraq Service), Air Force Good Conduct medals, and Operation Iraqi Freedom medals. It is our pleasure to see SSgt Glantz safely returned home to his family and friends.
Thanks to Rabbit SBMC. |

Welcome Home for a Severely Wounded Hero ![]()
On January 2, 2011, Corporal Rusty Carter was severely injured while serving in Afghanistan, when the MRAP he was in suffered a mechanical failure, lost control, and landed at the bottom of a 50 foot ravine. Rusty's injuries have left him paralyzed from the chest down and without the use of his hands. On Saturday, April 14, 2012, after months of medical treatment and rehabilitation, Corporal Carter left the University of Pennsylvania Spinal Care Hospital, and returned home to his family. Second Brigade Motorcycle Club, with brothers from all over Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, were proud to be among the 95 bikes and 33 police cars and emergency vehicles that provided this hero with a thunderous escort from Center City to his family's home in Springfield. Corporal Carter, your body may be broken, but hearing you speak of your ambitions for the future, we know your spirit is completely intact! We honor you for what you have given for our great nation. Thanks to the many brothers who came out to ride for this young hero. |

A Celebrity Welcome Home for a Soldier ![]()
On Monday, March 26, US Army Specialist Steven Johnson returned home from his tour in Afghanistan, and was looking forward to some much needed time to relax and be with his family. Well, before he got that, he was going to get the rock star treatment, courtesy of the Warriors WatchRiders, A Heroes Welcome, and, of course Second Brigade Motorcycle Club. When he arrived at the airport he was met by his family, the Channel 6 news crew, and a handful of happy patriotic bikers, who insisted on escorting hom home to Thorndale, Pa. But that's not all. On this particular morning, we were joined by none other than Bam Margera, of Jackass and Viva La Bam fame. Thanks, Bam, for helping us make a hero's homecoming a little more special. Thanks to Rabbit SBMC and Tool Man SBMC. Interested in riding to honor true American heroes - our Veterans? |

SBMC Welcomes Home a US Marine
![]()
March 10th might have been just another typically chilly day for some, but not for the happy folks waiting with flags and banners at Philidelphia International Airport Terminal D. LCPL Joe Koslosky, assigned to 22nd MEU TARP team onboard the USS Bataan, had just returned from one of the longest deployments in recent decades - 11 months. In addition to Joe's folks and a large contingent from A Hero's Welcome and Warriors Watch Riders, SBMC and VNVMC were on hand to give this young hero the welcome home he deserves. Given your family's rich history of military service it comes as no surprise to us that you wear that Eagle, Globe, and Anchor well. Thanks to Fol VNVMC, Cyrus SBMC and his lady Moriah, Hot Rod SBMC, Rabbit SBMC, Ziggy SBMC, Miles SBMC, and Prospect Mark. |

SBMC Welcomes Home a US Marine
![]()
On March 1st, 2012, Cpl Anthony N. Stea IV. returned home from his second combat deployment to Afghanistan, and SBMC was on hand to welcome him home. Originally planned as an intercept at the I-95 rest stop on the PA/DE border, and an escort to his home in Folcroft, this welcome home was up and down all day long. Our Marine may have arrived a couple hours later than expected, but we hung in, and we got it done. Thank you, Cpl. Stea, for your service to your country. Enjoy your time at home with your family, especially with your new son! Congratulations! Thanks to Trash SBMC for representing us well. |

SBMC Welcomes Home a US Marine
![]()
Second Brigade Motorcycle Club joined our friends The Warriors Watch
Riders and A Hero's welcome on a chilly, misty Saturday evening in
February. Our purpose: to welcome home Cpl. Josh Murray, USMC.
Like his brother Kevin before him, Josh decided he would
make his life in the United states Marine Corps. Now home from his
second tour of the sandbox, Josh's mom invited us to "drop in" on a
scheduled gathering at Barnaby's in Havertown. This we did, circling the
bar with flashing lights, blaring horns, and revving engines, all to
honor one very surprised Marine, and to thank him for his service to our
great country. Thanks to Rabbit SBMC and wife Barb, Cyrus SBMC and lady
Moriah, Tool Man SBMC, Trash SBMC, Hot Rod SBMC, Crazy Horse SBMC, and
Prospect Mark.

A really good day...
![]() Some days, things go just perfectly...this was one of those days. A group of Brothers...friends...got together for some coffee and donuts, and talk. We won't introduce these men...many are widely known, the rest are up-and-comers. This is what our Club is all about - take care of Veterans, take care of our Brothers. It was a perfect day, men...thank you for being there. |

SBMC Welcomes a New Brother!
![]()
Asked what brought him to the Second Brigade, Squirrel SBMC said that he has always had the highest respect for our men and women that have, and still do serve our country. He was introduced to Second Brigade through Cherokee SBMC, and says he never really had any direction in his life outside of his family, but having had his eyes opened about how our Veterans need our help, he knew instantly in his heart that SBMC was where he belonged, flying their mission. He has proved his commitment many times over, through his involvement with the SBMC Freedom Run, many food drives, Christmas Dinner deliveries, Home Depot Make Over, FOP bike builds and toy collections and several welcome home escorts, just to name a few. So when you see him, welcome him aboard. Oh, and ask him about the squirrel. We are very proud to have Squirrel SBMC as our new Brother. |

SBMC Welcomes a New Brother!
![]()
Tool Man SBMC started riding in the late 70s - the first bike he ever owned was a Honda CB360T, the most notoriously unstable bike ever manufactured. He got involved with the Warriors Watch Riders in early 2009, and since then has ridden somewhere around 100 missions, maybe more, including welcome home escorts, military funerals, the NJ Run for the Fallen, and others. Tool Man was introduced to SBMC through his friendship with Rabbit SBMC, and saw the Second Brigade M/C as a way to expand his commitment to honoring our military, past, present, and future. We are very proud to have Tool Man as our SBMC Brother. |

Ziggy SBMC has been riding for over thirty years throughout the US, and recently rode coast to coast with his lady, Patty. Ziggy's father was a WW2 bomber pilot and squadron leader - and Ziggy proudly rides in remeberance of all who served our great Country. In addition, Ziggy has joined SBMC on many missions to serve our military Veteran Brothers in their times of need. We are truly proud to have Ziggy SBMC as our Brother. |

SBMC mourns the loss of a great friend
![]()
On Thursday, February 16, 2012, Second Brigade Motorcycle Club - and many others - lost a good friend and ardent supporter of our service personnel. Kat
Fialkowski was the National Director of the American Warriors Watch Coalition, founding member of the Warriors' Watch Riders, and devoted wife of Tony Fialkowski, founding member and national coordinator for the Warriors watch Riders. Kat's energy and devotion to her mission was boundless, and she was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but though we may grieve her passing, there is solace to be found in the certainty that Heaven is a much better place, now that she is there.
Please visit the American Warriors Watch Coalition website at TheAWWC.org/ for more information, and a better understanding of the contribution made by this outstanding woman. |

SBMC welcomes home SPC Brian Lee
![]()
This homecoming was originally scheduled for the past summer, but as you know, the best laid plans... No matter, today’s welcome home was well worth the wait. Army Specialist Brian Lee was home after a years deployment to Afghanistan, and only expected his father to drive up to baggage claim to pick him up. Well, he got that, and a little bit more...he got a 40 bike escort from the Philly Airport to Birdsboro, PA, complete with police escort. Is there a better way to spend a balmy 50 degree Saturday in January? Thanks to Rabbit SBMC, Tool Man SBMC, and Ziggy SBMC. |

SBMC welcomes home a US Soldier
![]()
Another late-nighter, folks. John (Doc) Kromer was coming home after spending the past year in Korea. As it happens, Doc is a long time member of the Warriors Watch Riders, so Second Brigade MC joined with Warriors Watch, Nam Knights and Doc’s family and friends to welcome him home in style. But, it seems the Warriors Watch RC for the evening, Tamale, is a Viet Nam vet, who, like so many others, never got the welcome home he deserved. Well, Doc wasn’t having any of that, and neither was SBMC. We proved that it's never too late to say thank you for your service, and welcome home. Thanks to Cyrus SBMC and his lady Moriah, Tool Man SBMC, Trash SBMC, Rabbit SBMC and Hot Rod SBMC. |

Was it cold? You bet it was! But the low temperature and the late hour were not going to keep us from welcoming home Marine PFC Cody McClintock. You see, Cody is the son of one of our own - Rabbit SBMC and his wife, Barb. He left for Parris Island three days after his high school graduation and was coming home from Pensacola, Florida to spend Christmas with his family. A big thank you to all the Brothers who endured the cold and the late hour to make this welcome home a success. Thank you Rabbit SBMC and Barb, for raising such a fine young man, and thank you, PFC Cody McClintock, for your service to your country! The Brothers, Prospects and Hangarounds - and their Ladies - also delivered gifts to the children of a Pottstown, PA military family who lost their home to fire last week. SBMC Delivers Bikes for Toys for Tots
![]()
SBMC "G Chapter" gave the Marines a much-needed hand delivering 900 bikes and hundreds of toys for the annual Toys for Tots campaign. After building more than 300 bikes just days ago, you'd think the Brothers from SBMC would need a rest - not so. What we in the SBMC need is more donations for the military needy this Christmas Season. Contact any Patch Holder through this website, we'll gladly welcome YOUR help. |

Welcome Home to an American Warrior
![]()
Second Brigade Motorcycle Club (SBMC) "G Chapter" helped welcome home American Serviceman James E. Ziegenfus III this Sunday, in the freezing rain only Southeastern Pennsylvania can offer. After serving his country with a tour of duty in Afghanistan, James is finally home to his girlfriend and his parents. His father, James II, served in the US Navy during the Gulf War, and was obviously proudly to be part of his son's "Welcome Home" parade.

Toys for Tots Get Bikes from SBMC Bikers
![]() Second Brigade Motorcycle Club (SBMC) "G" once again lent a helping hand to those in need. Chapter members helped assemble 300 bicycles for children of fallen police and fire-fighters, as well as support for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive. In response to this helping hand, the organizers have asked SBMC to participate Tuesday morning, 14 December, 2010 in the convoy to deliver the bicycles. The convoy begins at the Army National Guard Armory on Southampton Rd in Philly and will travel to Yardley where the bikes were built. Yet another example of the Brigade spreading the Christmas spirit a little early. Gotta love those bad ass bikers with a soft spot in their hearts for kids. |

Homeless Veterans Get Early Holiday Cheer
![]() Last night Second Brigade Motorcycle Club (SBMC) made an early Christmas visit to a new apartment complex for veterans here in Philadelphia. We delivered six, that's right SIX, pick up truck loads of furniture, clothing, bedding and various assorted other items. SBMC members learned of their needs from a mutual friend, and as soon as we were alerted we stepped on the gas. This is only our FIRST visit to help our brothers and sisters in arms who have fallen on hard times. Our hopes are that the need has been seen, others will lend a hand however they can. The link to the newspaper story with details of the new facility is below. Thanks to all who helped last night, and know that there was not a dry eye in the house. |
